Luxury Styled Session: Christina and Robert 1940′s vintage shoot

Here is our second Luxury Styled Session with one of our favorite couples, Christina and Robert. The were married back in 2009 at the United States Military Academy at West Point. I contacted them about doing one of these sessions while they were visiting the area during the holidays. We met at the Danbury Railway Museum in Danbury, CT. It was pouring rain that day, but we weren’t about to let that stop us! Here are some favorites from that shoot.

Big thank you to JK Flashy for providing the awesome make-up and to Salon Posh for rocking out Christina’s hair.

Christina, Hope to see you in Hawaii when we come in a couple weeks. Robert, be safe out there on your deployment. I cannot say enough how thankful that we have people like you defending our country.

Wedding highlights 2011

Our 2011 wedding season was one full of changes both personal and professional. It was our first full year as a Connecticut based studio and our last year serving the hudson valley on a regular basis. And although I love our hudson valley couples and will definitely still shoot there, we will be doing so less frequently as the commute is killing me! :)

My right hand man and good friend Izzac left our crew mid season to move back to Texas. We miss him dearly and still try to make him feel bad by taking food photos at all our shoots. He’s a sucker for good food.

Chris has since taken up the duties of Associate Photographer up from his previous position of “lighting bitch”. And I have to say, he has done nothing but impress me with his creativity and drive.

All in all, it was a fantastic year. We are absolutely stoked about 2012 with our new Luxury Themed Sessions beginning to take off and our first wedding of the year to be shot in Hawaii! Now that’s how to kick off the new year!

Here’s a video of our 2011 wedding highlights featuring some of our coolest brides and our favorite shots.
